TECOM Group Free Zones

On 10 January, I used the Media City Amphitheater parking (which falls under ownership of TECOM Group) and my total bill came to 10 AED. The parking machine clearly stated that it would provide change for notes up to 100 AED. I inserted a 100 AED note, expecting 90 AED in change. The machine took the money and gave absolutely nothing back. I immediately used the call button on the machine and spoke to three different customer service representatives. They laughed at the situation. One of them openly told me that no one would help me on the phone and that I should “just send an email.” The attitude was dismissive, unprofessional, and borderline mocking. I was assured that if I emailed, the issue would be resolved within 24 to 48 hours. I sent the email as instructed. Nothing happened. I followed up three more times by email to the official customer care address and received no response whatsoever. Not even an acknowledgment. No apology. Nothing. I then called more than five times over the following days and spoke to different representatives each time. Every single person repeated the same script. They said the issue had been raised, but the “parking team” had not replied. Today, I was told that they cannot escalate the matter any further, that they can only send reminders, and that it is not their fault if the parking team does not respond. So to summarize, a machine malfunction caused me to lose money, customer service laughed at me, emails were ignored, calls led nowhere, and after 10 days, there has been zero resolution, zero ownership, and zero accountability. This parking falls under TECOM Group, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Dealing with their customer service feels like trying to carry water in a sieve. You keep pouring effort in, and nothing stays, nothing moves forward, and nothing ever comes back. For a company of this size and reputation, this level of service is unacceptable. If this is how small issues are handled, it raises serious concerns about how larger ones would be treated. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this parking unless you are comfortable losing money and being ignored. *p.s. they left the machine on, instead of turning it off once it malfunctioned

Visa services by AXS They charge higher cost than the mainland, yet the processing period is much longer than mainland or any other freezone entity. 1st time visa normal process takes almost a month, and visa renewal takes 10 working days.
